Pot of silver hammered coins found by Keith Pay and Philip Bordley in Cheshire. UK. in 1992 The pot was about 2ft. deep in the soil and contained 1100+ coins.The coins covered the period Edward VI to Charles II dating to 1673 .The pot was restored by archaeologists with only one tiny piece missing. This pot eventually proved to be 1 of 4 found in the area and were Treasure Trove.  Photograph taken by Alec Graham, Copyright 1999.

This is the 3rd/4th pot of hammered silver coins to go with Pot1.jpg. Approx 3500 coins in total. Cheshire UK 1992. Keith Pay/Don Oxley the finders. The large black pot weighed 40lbs. The brown pot had initials on it and was sealed by a piece of lead, if you look closely coins can be seen in the neck of the pot.The find was declared treasure trove - finders awarded nearly £28,000.
